An engineering company built around the whole chain.
IgaUga.EU is a Brussels-based engineering company that designs, builds and operates software, data and AI systems. We exist for organisations whose products and processes cross the boundary between the physical and the digital, and whose data is too sensitive, too scattered or too important to be handled by a team that only sees one layer.
Research depth, production discipline.
The company grew out of two decades of work that began in academic and industrial research on statistical models for medical imaging and moved steadily into production software, data platforms, cloud operations and technical leadership. That path shapes how we work today: models are designed to be deployed, pipelines are designed to be audited, and architectures are designed to be operated by people other than those who drew them.
We have delivered for medical and veterinary technology companies, an industrial battery manufacturer, a remote cardiac-monitoring company, a fraud-analytics firm, diplomatic development-cooperation offices, anti-corruption and peace-building NGOs and university research groups, in Belgium, the wider EU and neighbouring countries.
- Integration is the hard part. Most failures happen at boundaries between teams and layers; we take responsibility across them.
- Working software beats specification. Pilots with real users tell you more than documents; we build early and iterate on evidence.
- Security and compliance are delivery work. TLS, access control, environment separation, traceability and vulnerability monitoring are part of the build, not a later phase.
- Practices must outlast us. We train the teams we work with and leave behind documented operations and a release path they control.
- AI assists, people answer. We use AI-augmented engineering where it shortens cycles, and keep review, tests and traceability in human hands.
Qualifications behind the work.
MSc Computer Science, Informatics in Medicine
Gdańsk University of Technology, 2002, with an Erasmus exchange at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (2001–2002) on Markov Random Fields for medical-image analysis.
Peer-reviewed publication
Markov random field-based clustering applied to the segmentation of masses in digital mammograms. Computerized Medical Imaging and Graphics, 2008, vol. 32, issue 6.
Three medical-imaging patents
Method of re-sampling ultrasound data (PCT/EP2010/067529); method and device for processing and presenting medical images (US 12/420,483, EP2109080A1); method for segmenting digital medical image (US20080101678A1).
Certified Scrum Master
Certificate no. 233411. Agile delivery introduced and embedded in software, research and embedded-development teams.
IPv6 Sage
Hurricane Electric certification, reflecting hands-on networking, VPN and security engineering across Linux estates.
Regulatory awareness
GDPR, NIS2 and AI Act obligations translated into technical controls; support for 510(k) and CE marking documentation of software as a medical device.

Where and how we engage.
We are based in Brussels and work on site across Belgium, remotely across the EU and neighbouring countries, and on location where a project requires it. Working languages are English, French and Polish, with basic Dutch.
Engagement models include fixed-scope architecture and assessment work, time-boxed prototype and pilot delivery, and longer-term design-build-operate responsibility for a platform. For organisations with security requirements, our staff are prepared to complete the clearance procedures an engagement demands.
Let's talk about your system.
A first conversation costs nothing and usually clarifies which layer is really holding you back.
